The Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters (MAWS) is proud to host the 2nd Annual Gender-Based Violence Symposium, taking place October 7–9, 2025, in Winnipeg (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily).

This two- and three-day gathering is created for and by professionals dedicated to gender-based violence prevention.

Please note: Day One (October 7) is reserved exclusively for staff working at Manitoba’s provincially and federally funded gender-based violence shelters.

At the Symposium, participants will:

• Expand their knowledge on pressing issues impacting the GBV sector.
• Exchange best practices and innovative strategies to strengthen collective efforts.
• Connect with advocates, frontline workers, and organizational staff from across Manitoba.
